Just wanted to take a moment and wish you all a Happy & Blessed Easter. May your day be filled with love, joy, peace, peeps and chocolate. If you are alone today, enjoy the serenity and remember you are not alone today as long as you have your Alanon family.
Today, we are relaxing. No big plans. Pipers & AH got a fishing pole with mice attached to it from the Easter Bunny or the Easter Beagle! I can see my house being a disaster when I get home! lol But that's okay. I am making the very nontraditional easter dinner: french onion soup. We will watch It's the Easter Beagle Charlie Brown later on. ( Reminds me of when I was young.) Maybe take a nap.
I love this time of year as it is always a time of hope and renewal. I see the hope and renewal in hubby as he is back to slowly attending his AA meetings. I am back to attending my own meetings and rededicating myself to new growth and recovery. It's chilly here but the sun is out and the birds are chirping. I am on the look out for the first robin. The woodpeckers are back and making lots of noise. A joyous sound. Take a few moments to revel in the glory of nature around you. Look up at the sun and walk with your head held high. Life is too short. Make the most of it. Much love and blessings to you all. Thanks for being part of my life.
Live strong, Karilynn, Hubby & Pipers Kitty

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
The kids and I were up early for Mass - I wish I'd had my camera ready when I told them they could eat something out of their Easter baskets for breakfast before 7:00 AM! We've done our egg hunting and pigging out on chocolate and it's barely noon - the girls are sprawled on the couch watching cartoon and my son is playing video games. Just a nice, quiet day. Thank you for being part of my life:)
And a very Happy Easter to you, hubby and Pipers Kitty. I had to work today not by choice but that is another story in itself. Got off at 6:00PM came home and made dinner. My daughter and her boyfriend joined us for dinner then we took dessert over to my mother in laws to visit with her for a while.
All in all it has been a blessed holiday in spite of work. Thank you too for being a part of my life. You have been an inspiration to me in my recovery.
Take care of yourself. Blessings to you, hubby and Pipers Kitty.
Love,
Claudia

What a lovely upbeat post. My little kitty seems to be regrouping after the loss of her dear companion Benny. Every day I feel I am blessed to have my animal companions. Thank you for sharing your pleasure in the day.
