The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Having a discussion with the AH today, and he comes up with "Didn't you say your meeting also has AA on Wednesday Night?" So I say yes it does. Then he says I think I'll go with you tomorrow night. Hmmm.
Mind you now, this man has attended only 2 AA meetings so far, so I'm not really going to bet the farm that he'll go, but I guess you could say I'm cautiously optimistic.
Experience has taught me not to hold my breath. I'll let you all know how it goes.
Love,
Claudia

I love that "cautious optimism" it is far more better than flat out fear. It looks like you have learned to replace fear with cautious optimism. Awesome.!!
I know a recovering alcoholic who as a result of going to a convention with his Al-Anon wife to "back her play" got into recovery for himself at that convention. HP works in cunning, powerful and baffling ways. LOL
Good for you. I remember when "cautiously optimistic" finally dawned on me. It is a good feeling to be able to be supportive without feeling like you're getting duped again. Keeps my expectations in line with reality.
In recovery,
