Overwhelmed by this family...

...thank you all so much for the sharing and caring that you have shown me as you have responded to my last two posts.

Everyone of you is so special...and I am hearing what you say canadian guy, I just never thought of it like that.  You are right, I have come a long way in such a short time and it is all down to each and everyone of you all out there, in the world beyond the shores of my own country.

So many of you have shared with me and the rest of the family that NOTHING that has ever happened to any one of us is a one off experience, and that is so sad and yet so reassuring for it gives us strength together as we empathize with each other in a way that others cannot if they have not experienced these things for themselves.

It would be so wonderful to think that none of us ever had to go through these things, however that is not productive for it is not to be, it seems that these things come with the disease.  So, instead I am thankful that I have you all to talk to and share with and grow stronger with.

I find it overwhelming to feel such love showered on me.  I hope I will never take it for granted and that I will never forget this feeling, for it is the healing balm that my battered mind, body and soul needs as I travel this road to recovery.  Equally, if I can give something back by being here for you then that will be my reward and it will have all been worth it.

I may be bruised and need to hide under the covers for a while but I will not give up, no matter how painful the healing process becomes.sleep.gif

pray.gif God Bless, and thank you once again.

You are so right Heartbroken.

I too know the heartache and pain when my children turn against me.  The pain is exquisite and deep.

I too have been "hiding under the covers" for a short time as I dealt with the pain; but I too choose to rejoin the "world of the living" as a participant not just a spectator.

Knowing that we are not alone in our pain somehow does help ... for we can comfort in a way such as no one else can who hasn't been there.

Love and Hugs.

This board is my absolute mainstay. I know my recovery has grown exponentially because of it. I am a different person because I came here.
