Anxiey!

Boy do I ever have anxiety!  I went to an appointment with
my husband yesterday and we sat for almost 4 hours waiting
for a late drs appt.  It was excrutiating!
Anyway, when I got home I was exhausted and anxious.
Now I am trying to turn it over but it is carrying over to today.
I hope I can achieve serenity today.
It is hard to see past all this even though I am trying to
live for this day only.  I just hold on for one more day
as the song says.  I hope I am making sense.
Love to hear from anyone.confused

Oh, I know that anxiety feeling well. I haven't had much success breathing through it or meditating, but have that found sleeping has almost always helped, as has a total mind switch (watching episodes of Friends). Actually, it is the watching the mindless but entertaining tv that makes me go to sleep.

You are making perfect sense to me, and I am sorry you are going through it. 4 hrs waiting for an appt? Yikes! That could make anyone feel crazy.

Yes, just try to just get through today. Hopefully tomorrow will be different.

I wish you peace.

I'm glad you are here.

Blessings,
Lou

yucky stuff eh?

When I was there, I would say the s prayer over and over. Also tell myself everything is ok over and over.

For me too it is hard work, wearing myself out that works. I clean like crazy, and or go outside and work.there is always something to do outside in the country like me or in town with ayard.

Plant things, drag in wood shavings, make a cool path out of rocks, plant somethings, walk the dog, walk the neigbors dog.

go to the local shelter  walk dogs....

I was sooo down and going to the hs helped so much.

for me it was prayer and faith. faith is a big one for me. If we have that,it can get you thru anything.

Hoping ya feel better, making cookies helps.....go get some granny smith apples and make pie.
Also there are herbs that work, chamomile tea.

warm choc.milk, turkey.... oh go to the chat room and chat live.

hugs hon, debilyn who gets anxious thinking about anxiety!!!

((((((((((((Hoot))))))))))))))),

Have you tried talking to someone you trust?  Is there someone in your group you can call and share with?  I have found often that if I give voice to my feelings, I feel so much better.  Something about the acknowledgement and validation.

I hope this helps,
Maria

Yep. I hibernate when I am full of anxiety and come here now that I have found this family. Wish I could get into the chat room but I still cannot get in. Perhaps I am not meant to go in, who knows?

So I too watch Friends, big fan, watch it over and over, even if I have seen the episodes a dozen times it always makes me laugh. If I can laugh then I am on my way back to sanity.

And of course prayer prayer and more prayer also helps me.

Keeping you in MY prayers for serenity to return.
Heartbroken.

I was outside laying in the sun today, overalls pink shirt rubber boots, pot bellied pigs laying their heads on  me....

thinking about your question. For me it was also what I ate. When a person feels anxious, they should drink lots of water, juice, non caffienated drinks.

Smoking, lotsa sugar are not good either. Anything that is fast, full of bad carbs is bad on you too.

that was what made me say when ya feel crummy go to the basics, water, healthy whole food, fresh air, only positive info coming in. rest and rest some more.

I also found that if I was on meds to make sure I ate first. My asthma med will make me shakey and so does my pain med...so  that is anxiety causing.

Also taking care of things that may be bugging me helps.

hugs,love, debilyn

((((((((Hoot Nanny)))))),

It's hard enough when you are waiting for a doctors appointment and they are a few minutes behind. The fact that you had to wait 4 hours is just wrong. They should have told you they were that far behind. We have a system here that if you are not taken in within 20 minutes you are asked to tell the receptionist. Then they make sure you are seen ASAP. After all it's not fair that the doctor is behind. You could have been doing something else.

Considering what you went through, I'd say you did rather well. Anxiety can eat at you. Now do something extra nice for yourself. You deserve to recoup. I'd snuggle under the covers all day with a good book and a big pot of tea. Hope you're feeling better. Love and blessings to you and your family.

Live strong,

I work in a chain drug store pharmacy and the patients that come to my store would never stand for a 4 hour wait!! They get testy if I tell them that it will take longer than 15 minutes to fill their RX.

Maybe the patients at your Dr's office should take a few lessons from the patients at my work. 4 hours!! Thats just ridiculous.

I'll be praying for your serenity.

Love and Blessings,

Claudia

I was at the doctor's office way too early and didn't have much of a choice!
The trip to get there was almost 2 hours and my husband had us leave too
early! Long story. Anyway, it wasn't the doctor's fault! I just had to
clarify that! Too hard to explain. I will keep you all updated.
Thanks for the suggestions. I will remember some of them.
Peace & LOVE
