The brain scan proved I have a brain [though it may not be much of one - I am in good company with Pooh Bear!], and that there was nothing at this stage to be unduly worried about. PHEW!!!!! BIG SIGH OF RELIEF!!!!!!!
The Consultant informed me that he could see that BOTH ears had/and were infected, one is clearing up nicely but one is in a bad way and this may be contributing to my VERTIGO. Until these are cleared up he was not prepared to give a full diagnosis. However, I have another course of antibiotics to take and go back to see the Specialist in two weeks time. He wants to do a couple more tests.
I fainted yesterday and so he stopped saying that the other tests would only make things worse and he wants to see want the antibiotics do first.
Not the best way to lose weight, but I am beginning to keep some food down. The nausea would account for my some of my tiredness. I am caught up in a catch 22 situation at the moment though I am sure that the doctors will figure out what is happening soon. So it back to rest, rest and more rest.
In the meantime, I am not allowed out of the house on my own. I just have to wait for others to come and take me out.
Inch by inch it's a cinch, yard by yard it's far too hard! HeartB

I always take the time when I'm feeling to take extra good care of me. It gives me an excuse to stay in bed and the day away. Or if I want to watch shows I normally wouldn't watch. Anybody remember the cartoon Pinky and the Brain? There is something so silly about that cartoon that I can't help but laugh. Laughter is very good medicine. Take good care of yourself. Hubby, Pipers Kitty and I will keep sending you warm, positive and fuzzy thoughts for a speedy recovery. Love and blessings to you and your family.
Oh and by the way, don't underestimate the power of Pooh. If you get the chance read The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. You'll realize Pooh is quite the smart little bear! It 's a book I reread all the time, when I need to get recentered. Besides who can resist Pooh?

HB - so glad it doesn't appear to be anything more serious, though it sure sounds like you've been dealing with a lot. Keep taking those antibiotics, drink tons of water and rest, rest, rest!!!!!!!!! Hope you're feeling better very soon. ~R3
Dear one, I have been so very concerned about you, and thinking of you every day. The fact that you have a brain and it seems intact is a giant plus!! LOL! The ear infections could and probably would cause vertigo as the least little ear problem can set off a loss of equilibrium that makes us sick and miserable. Got to be awful. I have been momentarily dizzy once or twice in my life, and the nausea hits almost immediately. Ugh! Well enough said about that.
Continue to take care and do what the docs advise. I hope they can find the cause of your trouble soon and end the misery it has caused you.
As always, keeping you in my positive thoughts and prayers.
With concern,
Diva

Thank you R3, yes I have and it has been a looooonnnnnggggg hard winter this year. I just seem to have got one infection after another. I know it is due to having had massive doses of steroids via injection in May last year and was warned my immune system would be compromised. Thank you again for your concern, you are quite special to me.
Diva, well, what can I say...little brain is better than NO brain...LOL. Really appreciative of the positive thoughts and prayers. Hard to keep positive all of the time when there is no one around to smile at you and hug you and cheer you on, but hey, no one could do better than have THIS wonderful family here cheering me on and praying for me and supporting me and especially when I have you dearest D.
Hey, Just decided to buy myself some flowers to cheer myself up. They should be delivered later today or tomorrow. How licentious is that?

Thank you Christy for your lovely compliments. You have a very generous spirit. It is very encouraging to know that at least some of the time I send positive vibes, especially when one has been put down as a humourless, pessimist.
Working on that each day.
Not really me, though I was beginning to think I was a humourless pessimist after so many years of turning myself inside out.

I'm so glad you have a brain, Dear. I kind of suspected as much. ;) I love Pooh, too.
Hope you feel better soon.
