this is the sequel to the AND THEN I WONDER WHY I AM DONE IN, IF YOU DON'T LAUGH YOU CRY, BUT I CRIED LAUGHING...
"TURN THE BATH TAPS OFF, THEN CALL THE FIREBRIGADE, AND THEN GET THE OTHER TORCH AND COME TO THE TOP OF THE LADDER TO SHINE THE TORCH FOR YOUR BROTHER, 'COS HE HAS DROPPED HIS TORCH and is too scared to move in the dark."
"Ok, but I am getting into my pj's muddy or not!"
She comes back with the torch and between them her brother makes it down the ladder in his undies and runs off to get some trousers on, (no top, he wants to show off his manly chest and muscle if Firemen are coming. He's FIVE YEARS OLD and a skinny little runt!)
My daughter grabs the phone and I talk her through what she has to say...so the next minute I hear...
"Hello, my muumy's legs are hanging from the ceiling and she has not got any clothes on can you send the FIREBRIDGE 'cos it is very cold in the loft, and my daddy is on a cruise with the Queen so he cannot come to get her out." Then she tells then where to come and adds, "I think they will need wellingtons because we are sinking in mud! But they will have to take their clothes off before they come into the house!"
"No, just their wellingtons honey...." I shout.
"O mummy says they do not have to get undressed, they just need to take their wellingtons off. Thank you. Yes I am alright...no my brother's gone to get dressed....I have got pj's on....Mummy are you OK, are you in pain!?"
[ Am I in pain, I am laughing so much I cannot answer...?]
"the lady wants to know if the ambulance has to come too...just a minute mummy...the lady says the ambulance is on it's way too...I told her you were crying..."
"No dear I am laughing, and it is making my sides hurt..."
"Hello, Mummy is laughing...", then she starts laughing too, "...her legs look really funny...................No we were digging a trench and got muddy so we had to take our muddy clothes off .......no....and then mummy climbed in the loft............ 'cos the water was not coming out of the bath tap..........yes we got water when mummy's legs came through the ceiling............."
LOLLLLLLOOOOOLLLLL what have I done to my kids? My they crack me up!
"Mummy, the lady says they are on there way, and I have to keep talking to her until they come, I have to send my brother out to wave them down."
All's well that ends well. What a hoot. She did tell the lady why we were all in a state of undress but it must have been one of the funniest 999 calls that day and my daughter said the lady did not laugh until she started to laugh and tell her about our muddy trench.
Hey hum, all in a days work for them. LOL
That's y' lot...I am exhausted with all this laughter!

Tooooo funny!!!! Your story reminded me of the time when I was about 4 or 5. Me and my brother were sitting in the living room watching television and for some reason I can't remember my Dad was up in the attic. In a flash, I saw my dad come falling through the ceiling and land all fours on the living room floor! Back then I was bewildered indeed! To this day, I laugh every time I think about it....him sailing thru the air..the afterwards the hugh hole in the ceiling that my mom covered with a bed sheet. I think we moved real quick after that! LMAO!!
