Interpretation/understanding/perceptions - just one take on the meaning behind the words - not suggesting anyone else should interpret/understand/perceive this prayer as I do, I just thought I would share my perspective with you. by Heartbroken. God grant me the serenity [Higher power implied] - do I understand the word serenity if not I need to to accept the things I cannot change; realising that there are things that I cannot change; I need to recognise these courage to change the things I can; released from fear I change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference. once I have the understanding and the knowledge between the two.
Living one day at a time that istoo much for me today, I can only manage to live in the present moment enjoying one moment at a time; seek and ye shall find, even in the darkest moment - stepping outside the box Accepting hardships as a pathway to peace; I was not promised a bed of rose petals, remember some roses DO have thorns Taking, as He did, this sinful world always accepting the truth of the state of the world in which I live as it is, not as I would have it; knowing what is, and not expecting to have everything my own way Trusting that He will make all the things right trust releases me of worry but I must put my trust in the right place Him [HP] if I surrender to His Will; you cannot be serious, you want me to surrender to HP Will and not my OWN? YEAH! That I may be reasonably happy with this life what about ecstatically happy?NO, reason is consistent not erratic, ecstatic is erratic! and supremely happy with Him then I will experience and earn theultimate reward SUPREME HAPPINESS For ever in the next. WOW - FOR EVER - THAT'S A LONG LONG TIME. And there's life after death? Soul purpose? Wooooppppppeeee! HERE'S THE HOPE, you mean I AM NOT HOPELESS? Amen. SO BE IT!
PUTTING MY HAND IN THE HAND OF THE ONE WHO GIVES ME HOPE.
Living in HOPE that you would love to share your interpretations and understandings and perceptions of this wonderful prayer.

Thank you for this. We can always benefit from a closer look at some of the things we take for granted.
