Since this is the time of sharing and giving; I'd like to share and give a little what I have learned and the importance of changing belief systems.
So often, "it's not fair," is a cry or a wail or a hurt uttered, with justification we all have said or heard. I've been thinking on that: without "unfairness," that everyone would have their hearts' desires, and everyone had all they needed, there would be no need to share, which is really about giving and receiving, so "unfair," may be one of those "hidden gifts." It's something to think on.
My wish for All In Our Recovering is originally from the Sanskrit or Pali, depending where you may have heard it before, if at all.
May you all have happiness and its causes; May you all be free of suffering and its causes; May you all never be separated from sorrowless bliss,
And may you all dwell in equanimity, Free of bias, attachment and anger.
Holiday is a European expression for Vacation: this is an opportunity to take one for yourselves: to take a vacation from habits that don't work, running into the same old wall, expecting that repeatedly which we know will never change. Changing is another word for Life; Life is a continuous process of change.
My present to myself today is to change my mind...and just be "Present."
Love in the fellowship from me to all you; I don't have to know any of you, but because we're all in this together, I do in the way we all know.
Awesome post. I love the 'Pali'....so much in fact that I am writing it down to carry with me. (I hope that doesn't sound as strange as it does re-reading it!)
Enjoy your holiday season... Just For Now
