I posted a couple of days ago about my husband's daughter calling and wanting ot meet him. She's 41 and he has never seen her.
We had a change in plans and were able to move up the Thursday afternoon meting to today. We drove an hour away and Met K. and her husband and 6 ½ year old daughter.
It went very well. We all asked a lot of questions. We almost cried a few times.Shes very pretty and her daughter is adorable I think they both have hubby's brown eyes. She is a stay at home mom and home schools T.. Her husband has a good job and his two older daughters are in college.one pre med and one pre dentistry.K. has a degree in graphic arts. We both took a few pictures.I do think we will make a point to keep in touch and perhaps develop some kind of relationship.
She never called all these years because her dad was so good to her. He died last year and she did not have to worry aout hurting his feelings, so she started looking for Mike.
I truly think it is a Christmas miracle. We cant bring back the last 40 years, but we can do something about the next years.
What a beautiful Christmas gift for both you and hubby.
My sister in laws brother met his daughter after 30 years. They had 10 good years together before he died just recently. He always said that meeting Jennifer was one of the happiest days of his life. He also got to know his grandchildren who adored him.
Love and Blessings, Claudia

Thanks everybody! She told us a story that gave us chills. Her mom told her when she was a teenager and was asking about him.
She was on the beach at a local lake when she was about 8 or 9. She and her brother were throwing a frisbee. We were there too...up o the grass. HEr fresbee went by us and hubby threw it back to her. Her mom saw us, but we did not see her mom.
Keep the updates coming. I find this totally fasinating. What great changes for your family and hers to reunite. God certainly works in mysterious ways, powerful blessings for you all this holiday season.
What a beautiful Christmas story. Your family will hand it down for generations. So glad it went well for you. Sounds like everyone went in to it without expectations. That makes it easy to have a good visit doesn't it?
I'm very happy for you.
