Taking control over my life

I have quit obsessing about where I am going to be 6 months from now, a year from now.  All I can do is deal with today.  So much time wasted obsessing about where AH's addiction was going....what is was going to do to me.  Today the sun is shining.  I wrote for an hour this morning.  I was able to attend half of a meeting today.  My girls behaved beautifully in the grocery store.  My checkbook is balanced. The Christmas decorations are up.  My kitchen is clean. Life is good.

Now THERE is the important stuff!  Good for you.  Sounds like the Christmas season is doing its part to have a positive effect on you.  Keep up the good work.

All best wishes to you and your dear ones,

Diva

Good for you!

I have found that my life is much more manageable when I focus on the moment in front of me, and what I can do at that moment :)

Pat yourself on the back!

I try to deal with things one week or two at a time. I make a month ahead at the most.

Its so funny, I always used to think it was completely normal to have your life all planned out for like a year. ALL PLANNED OUT- that this is what people did- grown ups who had good jobs, families, were powerful, etc. It took me a very very long time to learn that this just is not true! And that its not good/healthy if I do this! I was like a drill sargent about it! lol...J.

Your post was so uplifting for me. I have been so guilty lately of trying to plan out my life for the next year. I am determined for 2008 not to be so obsessive about everything.

You have given me the inspiration to make it happen!

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Love and Blessings,

Claudia
