As you all know I left the A with thousands in debt. He in essence stole my truck out from under me and try as I might I could not get any legal remedy on it. For the last 6 months I have been trying to pay down my bills. I have now got two outstanding bills that I have not yet got around to reconciling. Everything else is up to date. I worked two jobs for a while and finally got to a place of not always having the wolf at the door. At the same time so much is up in the air, my job, my home everything. My home is horrible. Some of the people who live there go aboslutley out ot their way to make it unpleasant for everyone. My job is also really up in the air. Nevertheless I am incredibly tired and fed up with being alone so this weekend for the first time this year I am going to a movie with a friend. I am not getting my hopes up I am keeping it real low key but I am actually going somewhere outside of my chores and my dogs. I am looking forward to it. I feel deeply deeply deprived because of course where I live is in some ways just as bad as living with the A. I never know what I am coming home to.
I'm so happy to hear about the movie. I bet you will feel really good afterward. You deserve a movie and a friend and so, so much more. Keep grabbing for it (or clawing), whatever way you can. You may not see yourself crawling out of the pit but we sure can :)
Take care and have a great time, Christy

Good for you, Maresie. About time to do something enjoyable for yourself. Keep up the good work.

You go out and enjoy your movie girl!! You deserve it. Have fun and enjoy. Put all the other nasty business in life to the farthest reaches of your mind and just revel in your night out.
