oh boy, does that ever bring back memories.... and to those people who say that vodka doesn't smell, my experience with my A is that - if they drink enough of it, it surely DOES smell. blech.

Oh YEAH, I so hate the smell of Vodka, and when I say that to my friends they laugh at me and say, "Don't be silly Vodka does NOT smell!"
AAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH it SO DOES WHEN A BODY IS PICKLED IN IT, and it seeps out of every pore of the body, and the blech and 'the other end too'. Oooops could not resist that.
Thank you canadianguy you are the first person who has ever acknowledged this, so I am not stark raving mad.

Keep on commin here , you r gonna be just fine . love the replies you have gotten and yeah i am with you , with the smell of beer or anything for that matter . reminds me of yrs ago my husb and I were going to a Sun Morn meeting and we had to walk past a bar door that was open , the stink was unbearable and I blurted out OH GOd that smell reminds me of what our bedroom used to smell like !!!! sheeeeeeeeesh poor husb looked sheepish and kept on walkin . hehe Louise
Let me stand in line with you LOL ! Tonight my A actually said, if I don't smell to bad (ie Beer) can I come to get the tree with you Sunday. I know that is just so depressing but I can't stand the smell anymore either and I told him. I want to smell pine trees -- not old beer.
I don't know who ever thought that vodka doesn't smell. It most CERTAINLY does - it's unmistakeable. Or maybe, as someone else pointed out in an earlier post, if a person is PICKLED in it, it has a smell. With my A - he was always either sober or pickled, so I don't know if a little bit of vodka has a smell. lol
Vodka most certainly does have a smell. It is the alcoholics that think that they can cover up drinking by having vodka. Sometimes the whole room smells of it. Ew!!
Has any alcoholic in your lives tried to cover it up as mouthwash?!?! As if we can't tell the difference......
For me the sound is of the ice hitting the cup that he is about to mix a drink in. It rattles my nerves!!!!
