Hi All, went for a major job interview today, did well, only problem is knew the job was gone before I went for it. Nine candidates were called and the lady in the job whom I am acquainted with was well able to let me know all the ins and outs. I have met her three times since yesterday and eventually I was sick to death of her telling me she had the job. This kind of thing goes on all the time in my line of work and I was tempted not to go this morning because I have had toothache all week but I've put it into HP's hands and am pleased that I was not intimidated into not going to the interview. I've applied for a few more as I need to get something decent at this stage of my studies and will just persist. Work is difficult to get in my field at the moment and contracts are getting shorter and shorter. The road to ex-a's house is being done so he won't any excuse for much longer and will be going home. Am now off out, thanks for letting me vent about the job, it really is irritating, its not the best person who gets it, its the one who knows everyone.
Hey I am proud of you for going!! It never hurts to get some interview practice. Plus they get to know you better. That is one of peoples major fears, and you faced it.
Way to stay out of the games. I put in an application for next summer. Leap of faith. Just might be a time for change. Need to practice interviewing too. Good luck to you.
I went for an interview this week and they told me they still had people to screen. I dont' really know how to take that. I know it cost me to go to the interview in time and energy. As a friend of mine said well if we don't go we know where that will take us too.
I am proud of you for sticking at it. I also know how it is to have an A floating around I am sure that is very very stressful.
