I have been visiting here infrequently, unfortunately, but am happy to say my son has been clean and sober for a year now, married, and just opened a business. I feel with the intervention I saved my son's life. In return, I would like to send cards and gifts to the men in the house. How do I do this?
I will be sending out a request for xmas cards, small gift packages, etc for the men in the recovery houses within a week or two. I don't want to do it too quickly because I want the newer members to get what the older members get in this process, not be left out because they were not in the house when I sent the list out to everyone. So, I will send out their first names, last initial, and the address of the house they are in fairly soon, but just be patient, let's make sure we are not sending cards to people who have moved on and the ones who have come in are left out of this beautiful experience.
If you'd like to start preparing for it some, we will have 22 men. Get your cards ready, your gift/care packages put together, ect. and just keep your eye on your email and this message board and the information regarding names and addresses will be forth coming.
Thank you from my heart for your willing to help me bring the light of Christmas into these homes and into these men's lives.
John

You know me I always get so excited about the Christmas cards. I've never thought of sending packages. Can you tell me what kind of things would be appropriate?
Love and blessings to you and Rose and all at the recovery house. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
