How will you be spending the holiday?

I am going to have the kids pick two items each that they want to have and then make all of them.  We are going to put up the new fake xmas tree :) and I'll be working wed and fri night and all day sat.  Perhaps some shopping friday?  But I swore I wouldn't buy a thing till dec. 1.  Definitely shopping for food tomorrow.  My one resolution, NO PIZZA on thanksgiving!!! LOL

It's just going to be me and the kids for the holiday, perhaps also a movie and maybe a trip to the beach it's supposed to be in the high 70's.

We typically have nontraditional thanksgivings since 1/2 of us don't eat meat!

Just me and the kids for turkey day. We'll have turkey if it thaws out in time. Then go see a movie. I am looking forward to it with slight stress. I'm ok with it, I hope the kids won't be sad. But they are good kids and we really enjoy each other's company.

kind of an all-day open house at my sisters with friends, family, neighbors coming and going. Maybe a movie at night. My AH will not be participating. I have no idea what he is doing. I did not ask. He did not offer to tell me. He hates my sister. Not my problem. I am going to spend time with people I like and who like me. Lots of good laughter. Plain and simple.

I will be taking my children to my Mom's house. I am also writing a gratitude list while I am there after dinner to keep me grateful for what I do have. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!

Love,
Lisa

I'll be spending it with my favorite people...  I wish I could post pictures, but.... for the sake of my anonymity and theirs, probably not a good idea since this is a public forum.

We do eat meat!  And I even stuff the turkey!  Yes, I make it myself.  I think I calculated this will be the 56th turkey I've cooked.  24 lbs.

I've always liked Thanksgiving.  I like the day after too, because I don't have to work and I don't have to go shopping either!

And I'll go shopping for a real tree soon after, and also go pick up a truckload of firewood.

I will be helping my Mom a bit with a real simple turkey dinner. Our own homegrown turkey is 22 lbs. It will just be my Mom and my family(soberAH, 2 boys, and myself). My Abrother is not coming out. Whew. She is going to take him a couple of pies to go with his dinner. So really no drama this year. Not sure I'll know how to act with nothing much to detach from.**Jen looks confused**

Hope you all have a great holiday!

some people invited me over to their house. I may do that. My friend who has the turkey has not replied. I am not going to push it. That is my signature push it and take care of everyone else. I may just do nothing. I may to do a reorganization of my storage and begin the task of selling off stuff.

Hi everyone...
I'm looking forward to spending the day with my tiny little family (mom and sister) and my boyfriend (I've been seeing him for 8 months now!). This will be our first big holiday together. No A's in the bunch... just a nice normal turkey day!

Hope everyone can relax and enjoy the day!
