Hey everyone - I haven't posted in a while. But was just thinking how I only really post when I am down on myself and mad at the world - mainly my AH. Right now I am doing pretty good and thought - Hmm, why not post that today?!
My AH is doing really well right now. He has been clean since mid July, working a good job w/a possible promotion already in his near future. He comes over to spend a couple of evenings with me and the kids during the week and then usually most of the weekends w/us. He is giving me money to pay my bills, keeping up w/his side of the street too.
We had a good weekend. My daughter went w/my AH's mom out of town for the weekend so my AH and I made the most of it. We both got spa pedicures Friday night, drank some Mocha Cap Coffees, rented a movie and ate at a Mexican restaurant. Then Sat we (including my 14 yo son) went shopping all day. I got me a brand new pair of cowgirl boots. I had been wanting them for several years now and bit the bullet and splurged on myself. I call it a belated bday present from Oct. Then we went home, ate leftovers for dinner and watch the movie we rented Friday that we were too tired to watch. Sunday I worked on my daughter's room. Cleaning up, throwing stuff away & hauling stuff to Goodwill that she doesn't need or use any more. That is something I can't do w/her around b/c she is a packrat and saves EVERYTHING. Finally, she got home that afternoon and I got to snuggle w/her for the evening. I missed her bunches.....that was our first time apart for more than 12 hours since she was born 5 years ago.
So it was a great weekend. All despite the fact that I am getting over from a monster sinus infection and bronchitis, one of my bathroom's light fixture won't turn on, my other bathroom shower has leaked water all over b/c the caulk's seal was broken and my floor & walls have been very wet w/out me realizing it. Now my daughter has the same sinus/coughing bit. But, all that said, things still seem to be going ok..... :) .....I am praying that it continues. Staying positive. :)
I am so happy for you. Nothing just regular life to make you feel better. I have had years and years and year of chaos, chaos chaos, these days a simple day is such a joy for me.
