Dear All, Yesterday evening I was at the funeral of a 29 year old man from the community I grew up in. He crashed his jeep on saturday night while intoxicated and died at the scene. It was his seventh vehicle. A taxi had been organised by his brother but he just couldn't wait as he had things to do in the morning. His mother is one of the nicest people you could possibly meet and she really held it together last night. I would like you to pray for the family who have taken it really bad.
Very sad indeed, and my thoughts go out to the family.
I recall a few years ago, when I was on my way to attend a funeral of an addict who gave in to their disease, and died at far too young of an age.... I was giving a ride to a 20-year recovering alcoholic, who said words that I will remember forever.
"Yes, it is indeed sad, but hardly surprising."
Take care Tom
