I had a book get inside the head of an alcoholic and even though they were told some of the happenings in the book were lied about, the alcoholism in the book was very true and it really made me understand the way an alcoholic thinks and it was deep.
It was called "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey
It really made me understand what was going on in my husbands head and the intensity of the sickness.
(sorry Florrie, I didn't mean to hijack your post but since you were talking about books I thought I would put this one in there too) Thanks :) mwah.
