omg! My dream has come true! Keith Urban is coming to OHIO~! And I have floor seating tickets! My friend Karen and I are going. Hubs are staying home..... I had to join Keith Urban's fan club (I joined a fan club at age 53?!?!?) LOL Tickets went on sale Tues. at 12 noon, if you joined the fan club....general ticket sales started today, I think. We wanted to get good seats. We have waited for years for this concert! Anyway, I would not even have these tickets were it not for some fantastic friends at work, who made it possible for me to get on a computer I work on an assembly line), and they had to pull some strings to do it. I got the last set of floor seats there were! OMG! I knew he had announced his U.S. tour, but was so afraid it would be on the day of one of the 2 baby showers my daughter is having! But it's not! The concert is Nov. 1. The day I ordered tickets, I came home and was printing them out. Hub asked what I was doing, so I told him. I had asked him earlier if he wanted to go and he didn't. I even asked him a couple of times. He didn't want to go. So, I just got them for my friend and I. Hubby got kind of sarcastic, saying "You act like you LOVE Keith Urban!" Well, duh. Brilliant observation there, buddy. He said you listen to his CD, watch his videos, watch everything about him on TV...blah, blah, blah. I was relaying this conversation to my friend, and she said "well, when you love someone you pay attention to them!" Well said. Wish hubby could take a hint from that. The concert is about 90 minutes from where we live, and in a city that we are not familiar with, but we will find it. This is a big step for me. So many times, in the past, there were things I wanted to do that HA didn't, so I wouldn't. I acted like we were joined at the hip and couldn't do anything apart. But he still did everything he wanted to. That led to resentment on my part, and a life not fully lived. So, here's to Keith Urban, my friend, and ME! There is so much joy out there if we only reach out to embrace it! Love in Recovery, Becky1
This reminds me of how my A behaves when I drool over Johnny Depp. LMAO! He just can't see it, he says. Unfortunately I will not be seeing JD in person any time soon. But if I did, I would probably make a complete fool of myself.

I just saw the ad in our newspaper in Ohio, the tickets for our concert go on sale Saturday. I would love to go and I know my AH would love to go, but I am just not sure if we could handle the crowd. I really love that guys' guitar work, though. You are so lucky! Enjoy!

I'm with Bob Diva, I'd pay seriously good money to see you make a fool of yourself. If we dress Bob or David or any of our other MIP men as JD, would you do it for us then? I'm sure we could raise tons of money for charity if you did this!

Oh I know all about Keith Urban's struggle with alcohol, coke, and who knows what else.......but I love him anyway!
You see, I finally took Step 1, I admitted I am powerless over alcohol......AND powerless over my attraction to alcoholic men.....(just kidding, sort of...)...and musicians (sort of....)
Somehow, I knew Kari would get a kick out of knowing I am going to see KU.....she KNOWS how much I adore him.
And, the way I see it, at least he IS hot, and has a job, and makes a ton of $$$....Oh, yeah, and he's married, too, as I am. Well, Mr. Urban and I will NOT let trivial things like marriage stand in the way of true love.....hehehe. And, as far as making a fool of myself, methinks it is a good thing hubby isn't going. As, I am sure I will. But, I probably won't know anyone there except my friend, and she won't care, she's as in love with KU as I am. Who cares what the other 20,000+ people think. LOL
You guys are crazy, you know that. Must be why I love you so much!
I'm sure we could raise tons of money for charity if you did this!
