The church was full of Eric's friends so it was a great turnout. His parents, who he hasn't talked to in years were there. Too bad that's what had to bring them together. You could tell his father was full of grief for not talking to his son earlier. They had a few people sing and one friend of Eric's even played amazing grace with bag pipes. They had a slide show on a big screen of picture of friends with Eric and when they got to mine I broke down. I didn't know the picture was even taken. We all met afterwards at a friends resturant and had a toast to him. It was very hard and very sad. I'm ok and I'm thankful that we all got to say good-bye together. He would have been very proud of the legacy he left behind. I hope you are all having a better day. :)
Atta girl , I knew u could do it . again sorry for your loss . an aren't we lucky that we have a program so that we have time to make amends and not loose people we love with so much garbage left unsaid . I thank God every day for this program and what it has given me . mainly peace of mind . Louise
((Oh, FOY)) I'm so proud you went. I'm so proud of you. I'm sorry for your loss honey, I really am. Were you able to talk to the parents about al anon? Or was that like, no way, not now? ((FOY)) I'm so proud of you honey.
No, I didn't talk to his parents about al-anon. I don't think that would have been an appropriate conversation at that time, know what I mean? I just talked to them about them raising a wonderful person. Thank you guys for your warm replies. mwah.

You're in my thoughts. So sorry for the loss of your good friend. Sounds like the funeral was hard, but went well.
