Just felt like I needed to reach out to you all this afternoon to ask anyone who is willing to say some prayers for a good friend of mine and AH's. This friend has been apart of my AH's life a lot longer than I have. They've been through a great deal together. They have also been drinking/drugging buddies as well as fellow musicians together. I won't go into the specific details as I'd be typing for eons, but the gist of the issue today is, we got an unexpected visit from our friend last night. Prior to this my AH had not spoken nor seen him since his last drinking/drugging episode. They were together that night and he and his friend got into a pretty bad argument over my AH's behaviors and actions. So "D" was very angry and disappointed in him and would not pick up AH's calls, etc. It's been 3 months and out of the blue he comes over.
We could tell he was upset, in tears, we all hugged and the guys said their "I'm sorry's". AH and I could tell our friend was in pain and he basically said he'd like to stop using marijuana and find peace and serenity in his life. He went back and forth about his HP and the confusion around this. We're worried about his mental health status right now, but all we can really do is lift him up to HP.
I heard things coming out of my AH's mouth that I never thought I'd hear before and it appeared honest and from the heart. Last night was an experience that neither one of us has ever had before, but it was really beautiful to share our experience, hope, and strength with someone we both care a great deal for. So this evening if you find it in your hearts lift up "D" HP knows who he is and pray for him to find the "softer" way through this program and find a place of peace and serenity where he might come to find a better journey for his life. He is reaching out and seeking, but we can only lead him, we can't make him accept this way of life. Thanks friends for listening. Have a blessed night to all.
Peace, Twinmom~
