We just got back from the doctor and hubby received his medical clearance for his 2nd part of his surgery. All looks good. They will take the halo, the pins, the rods, the stitches and stables, etc out on Monday. They will then put a cast on and he has to leave that on until September which they will change at least 5 times before that. Hopefully he will be able to come home on Monday depending on the amount of bleeding, etc. I will be caring his meds with me, so in case there are any more mistakes I will be prepared. He can't put any kind of weight on it for the first month. Technically he's not suppose to put any kind of weight on it until September. But how do you not do that when you're taking exrays?
I know there's alot going on here, but if you could please keep all the good thoughts and prayers coming his way, it will be appreciated. He was amazed that total strangers would do that for him. I'm sure all will be well. We've made it this far. He's been a really good patient this time. I'm not sure I could have put up with 9 weeks of not being able to do the things I love. I'll be sure to get some extra rest on Tuesday and Wednesday. Although the Tour de France starts, and I'm such a fanatic about watching it!
As always, thanks for all your love and support you have shown us. Much love and blessings to my MIP family.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Hi Karilynn , I firmly believe that if God brings u to it He will walk you thru it . And a dear friend of mine always said Absolutley nothing in Gods world happens by mistake . goodluck to hubby and tell him to do what docs say . stay put !! hehe Louise
Oh Sweetie this stuff is so hard. Not only on him but you too. You guys are one person. Sometimes it is emotionally harder on the one being so concerned about their loved one.
Are you ok? It is so much stress. You need tenderness too, anti stressors. Remember you are important too.
He is fortunate to have you by his side. It was so so awful when my A had the brain surgery and recoup. I remember feeling ignored and left out, like I was nothing. I needed support too, my loved one, my other half was close to death. I felt like a wet rag.
You and he are in my prayers. I know he is concerned for you too. Hug that kitty.
You and your dear hubby are in my prayers. God is in the midst of it all and will hold your hands as you accept his healing power. I so admire your faith and your courage to endure. Please remember to take care of you, sweet lady.
