 I first wanted to say that our entertainment industry lossed a great singer last night, beverly stiles. She made opera accesible and entertaing. She was the best soprano americahas ever produced. She will be missed. But don't they say that divas never die they just become the ledgend.....I guess I should ask diva...my heart goes out to her family ,friends and fans.....

I had the honor of seeing her perform once. It was spectacular! But my favorite memories of her will be her Muppet performaces. Heaven will be having some great performaces. smile.gif

Beverly Sills was indeed a great lady with a heavenly voice. We are left with two sopranos who I think are the best ever to come along - Angela Georgiou. She is youngish and has the most magnificent, clear voice I ever heard. Then there is Sarah Brightman. She is youngish and has the most magnificent, clear voice I ever heard!! You can see I am incapable of making a choice between the two of them. If my feet were "held to the fire" I would choose Sarah Brightman because she can do so much with her voice, and her range in phenomenal. Sarah is equally at home with opera or Broadway musicals. She is absolutely gorgeous too which doesn't do her any harm either. But then, so is Angela Georgiou.

OK, so it's off topic, but getting me started on opera is something you do not want to do. LOL!!! I LIVE FOR IT!!!!!!!!
