Just thought I would pop in with a little post on how life has been for me... so sorry I haven't been around just so darn busy.. life however is calming down finally... will have some time to drop in... I have missed all of you very much and have often wondered how everyone is doing..
Life for me has taken a swing for the good... I have a wonderful man in my life whom I dearly love...and the best part of that is he also loves me... not one doubt.... he has been keeping me busy....he owns his own heating, air conditioning business and I have been working with him... it has been wonderful.
My kids are doing so much better, zach is back to playing baseball... how great is that... Samantha is your typical 16 yr old teenage girl...wants everything and wants to do nothing for it... lol... my kids are enjoying life again as I am and my house is becoming a home again for the first time in many years.... we seem to all be coming thru together....better than I could have ever dreamed.....
Don, whom I will call the love of my life because he is....you know the funny thing I did not realize how unloved I was... but wow now I do... anyway he is wonderful to me and the kids.... he is not an addict...wow....wonderful, he has one addiction which is food... the man loves to eat...lol... and I mean alot...lol.. however I love to cook so it works out... we have alot of togetherness. at frist this was hard for me.... now it's wonderful.... I am thinking this is normal if there is such a thing....the doing things together.... and I am loving it.......
Well I hope all is well with all of my wonderful alanon family....I have missed you all...I will be around more....I have kept you all in my thoughts and prayers.... and in case you were wondering yes chuck is still using...however, that is all on him and about him and I don't give it much thought anymore.....
I've missed you! Your reply to my post made me cry -- good tears I am so glad things are going well for you and the kids. And I'm really glad to know that "Normal" really does exist !
You have amazing strength, it's so hard sometimes to move forward. Please keep us posted.
It's so good to hear from you! You sound wonderful!! I am more than happy for you and the new, wonderfully refreshing life you are now living. And I am thrilled for your kids. I think of you so often and have kept you in my prayers. I hope to see you around here very soon!
Nice to see your smiling face here again. We've missed you so much. I am glad that you have the love of your life. Never give up on love. You and I have found our loves again, and seeing as we are sooo young we will both have a lifetime of love and happiness.
Way to go Zach for playing baseball. I hate to break it to you, but the football cleats are coming in at work already. Samantha sounds like my 16 year old niece. "Awww...Mom I thought money does grow on trees!" Aunt Karilynn meanwhile is rolling her eyes.
Don's a very lucky man to have such a wonderful woman and 2 great kids in his life. He sounds wonderful.
I am sorry that Chuck is using again. I hope and pray some day he will find his sobriety. I hope the kids will find peace in their heart for their dad as well. It hasn't been easy for them. But with your love and guidance they have done really well. You should be proud of them.
Much love and blessings to you and your family dear friend.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

I'm so glad to hear things are going well for you and you are happy! That is an answer to my prayers!!! I've continued to pray for you and your kids. I'm happy too you've found a great man to share your life with. There really is life after addiction!!!! My son is doing well, and has worked on changing his life. He still struggles, (mostly with the shame and all) but then don't we all. God has changed his heart, and for that we are so thankful. And he recognizes how far God has brought him too. The rest of the family is doing well.......my daughter graduates next month from High School, hard to believe. She's awesome! Her plans are to go on a 6 month mission trip in the fall. The youngest son will be a sophomore in High School in the fall. He starts spring football practices next week, plus he will be playing summer baseball and going to a couple wrestling camps. Keep in touch....so glad to hear from you.
