So I decided I'm going to go for this master's program to make more money for the kids, a total change in careers and I have to take about a year of prerequisites to even apply.  I started classes today on the prereqs.  I haven't been to college in about 8 years and it's weird but already I have met new people and have found a way to work it into my schedule.  I sometimes amaze myself, working 30 hours per week, going to school full time (well until they cancelled a class on me today) and raising 3 kids alone.  I just have faith that it will all work out!  Tell me you know I can do it PLEASE!!! LOL

Oh congrats!!! I am so proud of you. You will love it and thrive. Remember I went back in my forties. Carolina there were days I cried at the school, days I just got my body there. But all in all it was very good for me and I learned soooo much.

There is so much suport. If you can look into the womens issues part of your campus. There is LOTS of support and valuable info there. Programs for single moms, scholarships.

I know by all your posts, you wlil do great by your kids too. You may be able to find somewhere on campus they can come and hang out.

Please keep us posted. I know you will be busy. You are on your way. one day at a time and enjoy. don't forget to have fun too.

Word of "advice", eh hmmm do not take entimoligy if you are in love.... I got a D and was on the honor roll... head hung in shame....

lol Gads lady look how far you have come, so many miracles, You are an inspirataion, and prereqs are great. Sets your foundation....

You go Carolina!!!  Going back to school has been a daunting thought for me, the last five years, but it is something I really need to do in order to keep up with my field.  Keep me posted on how you are doing, you inspire me!! 

No time like the present to get busy and get better.  biggrinbiggrin

I am so very proud for you. That is awesome.

Just a suggestion -

Tear a piece of paper out of your College Rule Notebook - write on it in Really BIG letters

"Together my HP & I have this College Thing Licked"

and then tape it to your mirror where you get dressed in the morning.
