So this morning I am sitting on my back poarch drinking some juice... (I don't do coffee) and I hear a squirel on the roof running around. That is not unusual because I have oak trees and they love the accorns. They like to hide them everywhere.... in my car, in the bar-b-que pit, in my son's motorcycle helmet when we leave the garage open too much ... LOL
Anyway... the running noise stopped and for some reason I looked up, and there was that squirel... peaking over the edge of the roof directly above my head, looking right at me from 3 feet away. All I could see was his head and one paw as he hung over the edge.
Of course I started laughing and he ducked back out of the way. I didn't hear him run off, so after another second or two... I looked back up again. This time, just eyes and the top of his head...
I am easily amused. And that is why I know I will be ok. You see, I don't think the miracle was him checking me out. That's his whole world and I am an intruder. (Should make him pay the taxes!)
The gift from my HP is that I looked up! AND LAUGHED FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!
Boy what a difference. Everyday is not perfect, but for today, that is ok with me.
I wish you all the opportunity to look up today!
Take care of you!

funny how you notice all the little things like that, like the way the water sparkles in the sun (as i did at the beach this weekend) or the funny things your kids say. once the chaos is gone you can enjoy all the small things that went by unnoticed and in reality are the big things!
I love to laugh, I think in the last month I have laughed more than in the last five years. I agree it is the miracle to spot those obscure things that cross our paths that just tickle us and make us have that belly laugh. When I hear my kids laugh that laugh that comes from deep inside oh man that gets me everytime, we just start staring at each other and laughing. Thanks for sharing that with us today. Keep smilin!!
Peace, Twinmom~

Oh how you make me laugh! At least the squirrel didn't drop the acorn on your head. I remember when a squirrel dropped down in front of me as I was walking home. I don't know who was more suprised!
It's those little things that we can take great joy in and laugh at out loud again, that we know we will be fine. Don't negate these small miracles. For they are what keeps us going. Thanks for the reminder.
Love and blessings to you and your family and all the squirrels too!
