The material presented
here is not Al-Anon Conference Approved Literature. It is a method
to exchange
information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
Is there a page that explains how this Board works? What is the whiteboard & what is subscriptions? How do you leave private messages to each other as has been mentioned in some comments. What is an avitar? What do some of the initials mean? I figured out f2f but it sure took awhile. There are others I have no idea. I'm sure there is an info page somewhere but I sure can't find it. Can anyone help? Newbies get lost easily. lol
Trust me, there's no such thing as a stupid question. I was wondering the same thing about our new features. There are days I'm lucky I can turn on my computer! I am also getting "Run Time Errors", and don't have a clue what that is about. I'm on Windows XP second edition. Who knows? If someone has an idea what's going on let me know. I'm just so happy this one hasn't crashed. Thanks for asking the unstupid questions.
Love and blessings to you and your family.
Live strong,
Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
If you want to send a private message to anyone, just click on your name, in the upper right corner. Your own page will come up, and over to the left, you will see "inbox" "outbox" and "new message". Jus cclick on "new message' and you can send a note. If there is a message for you, there will be a little note telling you about it, under your user name up there.
Avatars are the little pictures that some of us have by our names when we post. I dont' want one, so I haven't looked into how you get them, but it shouldn't be hard - check your own page.
I wouldn't worry too much aobut run-time errors. I haven't gotten them here, but I do on other sites. It's got nothing to do with you, it's a site thing.
The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. I would suggest you message John. Some of these features are so involved, I don't think any of us, ahem, service workers know about.
(I agree with Tiger, there are no stupid questions)
If you click on your own nickname your profile information will show and you will see a list of options to choose from on the left side of the page to set to your own liking. The site seems to be constantly changing. I basically find out by trial and error as I go along
pm = private message
f2f = face to face; live meeting
a = alcoholic
ah = alcoholic Husband
aw = alcoholic Wife
acoa = adult child of alcoholic
Sometimes I see Al-Anon Literature (also known as CAL, Conference Approved Literature) abbreviated, for example the daily readers One Day At A Time In Al-Anon and Courage to Change could read as odat and C2C.
These are a few that come to mind as I write this, hoping some others will add to the list
