First full day w/hubby home from the hospital. The inhome nurse is here and cleaning his surgical site and giving him an anti-blood clotting shot. I'm a bit tired as I am not use to getting up every couple of hours. But I am starting to get back to semi-normal. (I was never normal! lol) Hubby asked me if I wanted to see the halo around his foot, and I said if it's a deal breaker in our marriage, then ok. But otherwise, NO THANKS! NOT MY THING.
We had a few snags again at the hospital. Again they didn't order his daily meds (remember when he had seizures) and bless the nurse who got it done for him. They also forgot to order pain medication to take home! Apparently the senior residents had their last day on Monday and they left town! The surgeon had to fly to California to perform an emergency surgery. Thank goodness the new senior resident went above and beyond the call of duty. They then fitted him for a walker, but then delivered it to another person! Now he's 6'5" I'm hoping that they at least gave the walker to someone tall! Then they said that check out would be at 11am, then 2:30pm, but then the medivan went to the wrong hospital!
But now he's home and eating pizza. Sooo good to hear him snoring again! I am very lucky he's up and about. Thank you for all your love and prayers. I'm going to take it a bit easy the rest of the week. I go back to work next Tuesday, and prepare for inventory. But that's far off. For now I will enjoy the and the and the my family. The work is hard but at least this time he's in the hospital because we planned to be. Not because of his addiction!
Much love and blessings to you all!
