Does anyone know of a website that lists hotlines? I needed one yesterday and floundered around way too long for my own sanity trying to find one. I didn't need it for myself but for someone who had called me seeking help.
I did finally find what I wanted but it would have been very nice to have it at hand when I needed it.

What type of hotline number did you need? In the front of the white pages here in VA, there is a list of various types of hotline numbers. It is in the very beginning of the "Blue Pages", which lists all of the local and state numbers. There is a section on Alcohol & Drug Abuse, Child Abuse, Healthcare, Legal, State Police. All of those types of things. Hope this helps you to find the info you are looking for.
Thanks QOD, Yesterday I was needing the hotline for NA in the Kansas City Area. We don't live there so we didn't have the local phone books. We did find it and got a 12 step call made. I'll keep looking until I have all of them handy for when I need them.
I work both tha Al-Anon and Naranon sides of the program so I get calls from both sides as well as for AA and NA. There are times when I don't like being so diverse but if I can help I want to be able to steer people in the direction they need to go.
