Well, I just got back from my vacation in Alabama with the 3 kids (driving)...and I was sick when I left and even sicker when I got home. Thought I was going to die on Sunday and went to the dr. on Monday. Looks like I might have pneumonia and am on serious antibiotics. My home computer has a terrible virus that I can't shake so looks like I might have to format the hard drive. And.... earlier today I got an email from my mother in law that my husband was in a car accident last night and is in the hospital somewhere with a punctured lung and injured back and leg. He wouldn't tell her where he was. I remember my last post saying that he was obviously on a mission to kill himself and it looks like he is getting closer and closer. I called to check on the life insurance through my work and would only get 10,000 so I am going to be realistic and start looking for some other sources before it's too late. It seems so cold but would be the best thing to do for the kids. It seems so imminent and I know there's nothing I can do to stop it. I hope you will all pray for him to see what HP is trying to tell him! That's all we can do.
((CG)) I hate that you are feeling so bad, especially to come home and find out your A is in the hospital. I will keep you and your A in my prayers. Keep taking care of yourself so you can get better soon.
Peace, Twinmom~

Hope you feel better soon, and your computer too. Will say a prayer for you AH, you never know what will make them hit bottom. At least in the hospital he is sober and may be able to make choices with a clear head.
p.s. being prepared isn't cold, it's intelligent.

Nope, you aren't cold, you are realistic, you are facing it straight on.
I hope you are taking time off work to get better. A young healthy person such as yourself getting pneumonia usually means you are stressed and crumpling under it. Lotsa fluids!
Hate to say it, but if he's in the hospital he might not be drinking booze but he'll be flying high on pain killers and sedatives. He'll be sent home with a script for them, and the combo of alcohol and narcotics . . . .well, you know. I'd be even more tenacious is getting a better policy at this point. I've known many alcoholics who added pain pills to their repertoir after a drunken accident.
I'm sorry you're feeling poorly physically. Nothing ruins a trip faster than feeling like poop. As for your soon to be ex, he is in god's hands now. Finances aside (and I would suggest you consult a professional to make sure that everything is on the up and up; appearences count for more than one would care to believe in law), he may have to die to realize his powerlessness. Alternatively, you do not have to die with him. This would be an optimal time to work some steps, get into some service, and pray. It would also behoove you to get in touch with the kids. Are they fully aware of where their father is? Why?
Hate to say trite things in times of trouble. They teach us to say this too shall pass. Maybe things will be changing to the positive because you are facing life realistically.
Sorry you and your computer are not feeling well. I always hate when I'm not feeling well and then something goes wrong in the house. Just adds to the feeling icky. I'm sorry about your A. But perhaps this is a wake up call for him. Who knows?
Meanwhile take good care of yourself. Try and get some extra . Antibiotics always knocked me out. Take it from me, like Nancy said "these things will pass."
Love and blessings to you and your family.

((carolinagirl)) Really big hugs to you. I had pneumonia yrs ago and I know how yucky and tired you must be feeling. I agree with the others...take care of you. The more rest you get the quicker you will heal. Your body is telling you it needs a rest. Your computer will get better too. All of these things will pass. Right now the most important issue you face is your health. Keep in mind your A called his mother told her he was in an accident and in the hospital...but not where he was. Is he trying to manipulate her? Why not tell her where he was? He is sick with the disease of alcoholism...he likes the chaos he is causing. For me it helps to not project into the future...the what if's that can get me going round and round..Keeping in the moment, the hour and the day has helped me during times of crisis. Not always good at it ...but when i do it helps. Take care of you...YOU are worth it. Hope you feel better soon. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. your friend in recovery, rosie
