information, ideas, feelings, problems and solutions on a personal
level.
i haven't posted very often, lately, but wanted to let you all know that you are in my prayers. i will be deployed for a little while (couple weeks), and wanted to share some HOPE.
i continue to attend face to face meetings (4 a week, usually), make program calls to new and old "family" alike, and continue posting on this site as often as possible. over the last few months, i've been shamed, guilted, humiliated, and humbled, yet, with program, overcame and dealt with each situation, 1 day, 1 hour, 1 minute, 1 second at a time, and my life has improved, dramatically.
there is still plenty of work to be done on me. i easily find resentments, and can even "easilier" (<--is that a word?) pick up resentments i thought i had already dealt with. that is all okay. i forgive me for sometimes making my life harder than it should be. instead of concentrating on those defects, i've tried to keep my conscious contact with HP, and deal with those defects one at a time as they come up, letting HIM/HER help guide me. Guide me. not do the work for me, but Guide me.
i actively keep and bring people into my life that have the ability to be honest, caring, and emotionally available. as you can guess, they are mostly others in program... but not all. what i can do now, is evaluate and consciously think about who i want to share my thoughts, feelings, and home life. and if i decide i cannot share with someone, i can still be friendly, caring, and even a good listener.
i am blessed for all that i have in my today. i, grateful member of al-anon, am grateful to all of you, as you've all been a tremendous part of my recovery and enlightenment. i love you all in a very special way, and hope that whatever you are going through, today, you can travel that path with courage and strength, and the knowledge that you are loved.
brightest blessings cj

Godspeed to you. You have worked so hard on your program. This is never easy is it but we learn alot about ourselves. I guess you can bring the message of the 12 steps and recovery to deployment. I learn alot from your posts.
OK easilier is not a word! But you're a cutie so you can use it if you like. I don't know you, but I feel like I know you enough to give you a big hug and a take care sir! You have inspired me, and many others here and have lived your life in recovery while in the midst of chaos. So proud of you, take care of yourself.
Nice to see that you are doing well. Please stay safe and hurry back to us. From the bottom of my , I thank you for serving our country. It takes a very special human being to do that. And while I've always know how special you are, just wanted to let you know YOU'RE EXTRA SPECIAL TO US ALL. I will keep you in my prayers.
Love and blessings to you.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty
