I made a big step

Hello everybodee! If anyone remembers Grover from sesame street long long ago, I just loved that being his opening line.

anyway, I wanted to tell you I called an Al-anon hotline and then got to talk to some one who lives in my town. Although she does not drive much either, they are going to try to find a way to get me for the Tues night meeting.

Also, I have some phone calls to make Mon (lots to be exact), a couple in particular to some hospitals a couple of towns away to see about a psychiatrist so I won't have to go thru the county, which sucks, and then also lose my wonderful present therapist. Pray for me.

Also, to help me with my electric bill, my therapist told me I, being on disability, can have them set me on fixed payments and it ends up balancing out every end the year.

After my day today, when I think I have no hope, I can just look at a bird fly by, a mysterious-formed cloud in the sky, talk to someone, pray.
I am best to talk like this on the good days. It seems like on the bad days my memory of all this new learned wisdom or a reminder of what I already know just dissipates and I get foggy, lose sight of myself and reality.
Anyway that is a little update on me.
Still ESH appreciated. I need to hear from you guys.

((((((((((Stacie)))))))))))))))))),

Way to go!!!!!!!!!!

A great example of reaching out and getting good feedback as a result.  Making the calls are the hardest but when others can help us, it's amazing.

Keep working it,
Maria

Thank you. You know sometimes it feels like all we can do is doggie paddle to keep out heads out of the water. Don't ya hate that..Good days and bad ones, that is what we get. I guess I am learning a day is really what you make of it.

You are sounding so strong and so calm, have come so far already.  The good days will come more often, and the bad ones will be easier to bear, the healthier you get.

Woohoo!!

Way to go HTC!

I love the saying "when we got busy, we got better".  I know I used to be real bad about not reaching out and also about procrastinating.  It still amazes me how something I can sit and worry about for days can be resolved in hours and sometimes minutes when I finally off my tookus and do something about it!

So great you are working on things to get better!

Hope your meeting works out for Tuesday!

Yours in Recovery,
David
