For me my anti stressor is my animal sanctuary. I can feel very sad and lay in new hay and have a five hundred pound and twelve hundred pound farm pig on either side of me. Like who would want to?
haha Fannie and Estersue can feel my hurting and will nuzzle me. I lay my head on their massive bodies and cry and talk.
My dogs are so loving and funny and squish me out of my bed. My bird reeba is constantly saying new things now. She is an amazon parrot. She has decided to laugh like me and cry like me...great. And if they dogs are in here playing too loud and rough and I am outside, I hear this stop it stop it, whats wrong whats wrong?? lol
they bring me back to my senses after the a ism tears me apart. they remind me of the healing power of simplicity.
I moved into my bunkhouse and build things myself. I drive a very old cool shortbed chevy pickup. no computers no plastic. simple but strong. I like myh life like that. simple healthy and strong.
I know about the bad credit they leave us with and the struggle to survive. How many of us were doing well before we met the sick A.
Anyway I was asked by more than one person here, if I had paypal for my sanctuary. I do. I did not know I did. lol what a dipstick. So I learned today all you have to do is go to paypal and put my email addy in. you can find my addy on my profile.
thank you for even considering helping out these animals here. So many are from people who loved them but have passed on or are very sick. All have stories of their own. some very very sad.
i know for me, it is so healing to take in a half dead animal who is frightened, full of anger and pain and then see it six months or a year or two years later and not recognize it becuz it is so happy and healthy and safe here at eden.
I was not in a position to take in the last horse but how do you say no to an animal who is in dire need?
As long as I can make sure they get the care they need I won't say no.
Anyway this is what I do for me. I looked at what I really wanted. I wanted to live in a very simple home, my bunkhouse, I wanted to spend more time with my animals grooming and vetting and loving, I do that, I wanted my life to be my exercise, I do that.
Most of all I wanted to be the best person I could be for my hp, the creator. I am doing my best...I goof but that is normal....
I hope you guys find your passion and go for it and don't allow the a disease to kill it.
I can not afford to give anything because I raise three children alone and give to my church but I do want to say I like what your doing. Good luck to you and your animals. Maybe you could offer cubscouts to come and help out once in a while and maybe bring donations or blankets ect. We do that for a wild life sanctuary that has lions. We bring blankets for the monkeys and soda's for the workers. Just an idea. Good luck. Did you get your avatar off of a site? I saw that same pic on someone's myspace, didn't know if you are aware of that. If it's your pic, someone stole it. (just an fyi)
You are such a caring person, and it is so true, the animals can sense when you feel down, can't they? That is amazing about them, and they are so comforting.
I think it is amazing to have a tribe of creatures as you do, and to take care of hurting animals and giving them new life in giving them a safe place to be and tons of care and love. In a way, they, too are giving you new life in their unconditional love towards you, and comradery with each other and the land you are on. That is something special, and I love the way you have built your life in this way.
HP has a way of showing us the miracles in life, and the simple, loving ways we can live. You are an example of that... thanks....
