I only post to complain about the A and sometimes when I don't have anything to complain about I remember something from way back and bring it up. This is not good, I know that. Probably stems from some sort of codependant something or another, and I want to refresh a little. I want to say that my AH has been trying. He has really stepped up to help ot more now that I am working. He also loves me and the kids, I know that. And he can be a little foxy sometimes. A little optimism can go a long way I think. Jamie

Consider: Sometimes one has to go through a period of feeling one way to gain new prospective into life. I had to go through a throughly angry period to be ready for anything else. I also had to go through a throughly scared period--I called it "my chicken little period"--before I was ready for the next one. As I went through a stripping of everythig I knew about myself, I was more able to be honest about myself. I was also able to be direct about myself and my needs. I gained deeper prospective and relationships with myself by peeling back what I knew about myself. I took away very superficial things and was left with very profound things.
Rainy, That's awesome... It's nice to focus on the good. I think we get real used to only seeing the bad and it can seem to cancel out the good. The more we look for the good, the more we find it. Keep your eyes peeled : )

That Progress not Perfection thing can apply to them as well as us - shoot - I rather have an eye tooth pulled than sometimes admit the good qualities of the A's in my life - but that would not be "Honesty in all my affairs" - Great post Jamie and a good reminder for all of us.
Thanks, Rita

i know you love your husband. i also know you hate the effects of drinking &/or the use of drugs. i'm so glad your here to share with us. MIP is such a great place to give and to get straight forward es&h.
I think your doing great ((jamie)) keep workin it your worth it!
i tell myself each day. one day at a time. TO keep it simple. TO keep workin my program. the positive far outweighs the negative especially when I put my "tools" to work *for Me. i try to keep the focus on my own care and well being. this makes it so much easier to care for the daily needs of me and of my family. i don't have to partake in the chaos. (the brewing arguement, thoughtless negative remark/s, unpresidented blame.) i can be there with a strong foot hold on my own inner peace. Holding tight to my constant spiritual relationship with HP/God. I can turn away from those things I know are not mine to partake in, to take on. I can focus on my own spiritual health. others (eventually do) will see this and hopefully they will want it for themselves too. (especially.... the children. they really only want to be loved and to have some discipline, *a loving and caring kind of discipline, in their lives.) detaching with love and setting realistic boundaries can be some of the most beneficial ways I can take to building a strong (and happier) foundationwith those I love. i continue to remind myself that my own personal mindset~((positive mind set)) puts out affects/effects to those around me too.
((((jamie))))
Keep turning it over (remember the 3C's) to your HP~ Keep Looking uP!
for me its a position of some days are all black and some days are grey. I have come to appreciate the grey more. At the same time I have to say this particular last few months have been hard going. I am stuck behind an obstacle of finance and have to work pretty hard to move it.
