On the 22nd my Grandson went missing from a behavioral health center. He was there to deal with some anger and behavioral issues. He wasn't there but 12 hrs. before he fled. He was in a strange town and had no friends there. He just turned 13 in Dec. and is very small for his age, only 89 lbs. You can imagine our distress as it is very cold and he ran w/o a coat.
I always said when a child is on the news as missing that I just can't even imagine the raw angst a family goes through. Now I know. It's hell. It's hard to sleep, hard to eat, hard to do the necessery things that need to be done to find them. There is lots of registering with different foundations, dealing with police, detectives etc.
Anyway, we can all collapse now. My Grandson was found today in another state. Thank HP for the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) system.
I've been in chat and on the board a few times and didn't mention my Grandson because it was my escape from the drama and trauma, so forgive me for that. I knew if I said anything that y'all would be asking everytime I went in to chat. I love ya, but I learned my lesson when my husband was sick. It's so hard to live it, let alone repeating it over and over.
I really, really want to thank jrtjosey, my rock. She was online helping immediately.. writing to the Mayor and officials and Lord knows who else. I didn't ask who, I was just grateful that she was helping, all the while keeping continuous contact with me and making sure I was holding up.. Going through this crisis alone w/o my husband here to tell me it was all going to be OK was really hard. The prayers she asked for on here a couple days ago were for my family. Thank you my dear friend. And thank you all for those prayers.
Thanks to ((((((Kerry)))) too for being there for me. Love ya girl.
I gotta say too, I raised one strong daughter. Together, we rock!! We hit some brick walls but kept on knocking them down.
Our boy is found, he's in jail 90 miles away, but that's better then the fears that go through your head when they are alone in the cold and dark..

I am so sorry you were going through this. Thank goodness he has been found. You and your family are in my prayers. You have always replied to my posts, with honesty and wisdom, even through this ordeal! You are quite a lady.
Better in jail than out on the street - thank god he was found. Maybe he can find a way to accept help he needs - it looks like you all are trying to give it to him. So glad it has turned out this way.

I have been praying for him since you told me. I'm so glad he was found safe and sound. I hope now you can get some good sleep and take care of you!!!!
Thank goodness he's okay, I can understand not wanting to repeat the stories over an over again, eventhough we appreciate all the love and prayers we get. Now take a deep breath, and . I'm glad you're daughter was there for you.
Much love and blessings to you and your family. I'll keep your family in my prayers tonight.

Thank God or what every our understanding of a HP is, I only went through two hours and that is long enough, I hope never to have to experience it again, you are in my thoughts.
Hate so much that you & your family went thru this horrible time and will keep you & your family in my thoughts & prayers asking
"that all those who come in contact with your Grandson have the healthy compassion that he needs, that he will be able to accept their assistance, that your HP will give you & your daughter the inner strength and serenity needed cope with the situation and most of all to always have a Ray of Hope for better days soon to come"
Love & Hugs, Rita
