I wrote these poems after coming back from this retreat. It was my spiritual awakening so to speak. I am enlightened and the speaker told me what I needed to hear and I am grateful for that and being able to go..... Here are the poems
Awakening from the dark
I just want you to see my dreams today They are what my heart has to say The dreams that I dream are very real They will show you how I really feel I used to not want to be here It used to be what I did fear I am not going to runaway, I am here now God What did you have to say I know that you do have a plan I will try not to interfere God I will let you steer I am right where I am supposed to be So god work through me I give my whole life to you I know that you will pull me through You want me to be strong,so that I can help someone along Thank You God I will listen Since you are my very best friend Your love comes from above Your peace that of a dove You speak to me through others You love me just as I am, You are reaching out your hand I can choose to follow or live a life of pain and sorrow I have that choice I now have a voice

You will lead me though
If you only knew what goes on inside I am tired of trying to hide I feel so ashamed God, you are not the one to blame I do hurt, I do cry there are even times when I couldn't take it anymore and wanted to die When I think I can't feel you that is when you are carrying me through Outstretching your hand and leading me through the land You are slowly creeping in I know you know my deepest sin You are mending a broken heart You had all this planned from the start I know it is your will God,help me to be still It is your choice not mine I know it will make sense to me in time
