Just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a very HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! May it all be extra special for you. I love you all dearly, and if it wasn't illegal I'd marry you all! I count my blessings for each and every one of you.
Just a reminder: we don't need a day to remind the ones we love, how much we love them. We should remind them anytime and all of the time. Hubby and I have this ritual, whenever we go out the door, we say: "Be careful. I love you." One never knows. We never go to bed angry and tell each other to "sleep with the angels, I love you." Even if we've had a bad day, we try really hard to realize that we are human and have our foibles. He is the love of my life and I am so greatful that he is sober. It wasn't always so. I am greatful for this miracle.
Today we have a snowstorm (yippee) so I"m taking the day off to finish taking down the Christmas tree (although it looks like Christmas now). Pipers Kitty will be bouncing off the walls and chasing the snowflakes. We have hunkered down with plenty of food and movies, and emergency supplies just in case. For all of you in the path of the storm, stay safe. Enjoy the beauty of the storm. I promise I won't go snowshoeing until it is safe. Maybe tomorrow.
Love and much blessings to all of you. Enjoy your day.
Live strong, Karilynn & Pipers Kitty

Happy Valentine's Day to you too! Enjoy your day! Even though it's nasty outside, it sounds like you have some great things to do inside! I am jealous--I would love to stay home today and snuggle in the warmth.
My family also had the tradition of always saying "I love you" at the door. Our ritual was a bit more wordy -it went like this-"Don't do anything stupid, watch out for the crazies, and I love you!" My husband thought I was a little nuts, when I said this to him everyday--I have shortened it to "I love you and be careful", he used to not join in, but now he makes sure he tells me he loves me too. (He even says it first, now!)
I would like to add my wishes to you ((((((((kari)))))))) and all of my dear friends here in MIP for a happy and safe Valentine's Day.
My family and I have the ritual of saying I love you when we go out the door, too. But, added to that we say it when we hang up on the phone, as well..........even if we talk to each other 10 times a day.
I learned the hard way that one never knows. My father walked out the door to cross the street to visit a neighbor and my mother said I love you and be careful. As he was crossing the road, he was struck by a car and killed instantly. But, out of that tragedy I learned to never take life of love for granted. And I know my mom never regreted saying that to each other that one last time.
Take care of yourselves and thank you Kari for the wonderful, sweet reminder of this and all special days.
God Bless and Love to you and pipers kitty ~ Lexie
You are always such a joy here for me (*smiles) Thank you for this uplifting post and wishes that your day was just as sweet, and you are able to play in the snow today Also hoping everyone here had a wonderful day as well -maybe with a few of the nice things Rita suggested
I also agree with you - there are 364 more days in the year ~ Why limit it to one day to express it?
Love and care to (((( you )))) and (((( all )))) T
