It's snoopy, the one who's A husband is divorcing me after 32 years of dating and marriage. Now that I'm in recovery, alanon, I have so much clarity on what my life was like before and what it can be like. I'm like a little kid who has finally gotten it and want to share it with others. Unfortunately, my A husband is not there to share in my excitement like I was for him when he first found sobriety. And I feel so alone. I want to shout from the rooftops my feelings of freedom and joy, but the one person who I would like to share with most is gone from my life. It hurts, but will get better I trust. I am just so lonely and hunger for intimacy so much that I sometimes think I will burst. I pray God will put someone in my life that will be able to accept all the love I have to give. Thanks to you guys for listening.
Snoopy.... I totally get how you are feeling. Sorry you feel so alone and cut off. Intimacy is a gift. I have learned to keep it close to my heart and give only to those deserving.Time heals all wounds but still we can feel pain. Whether good or bad we have to be able to feel in order to again feel love.
