Tonight my Son wanted to play Scrabble as a family. That was fine, he even drew the tile to start the game. His first word was QUE, I thought pretty good for an 8 yr old. Next comes my A .... hehehe..... He adds to to the QUE, FA. It now reads Faque. I looked at him like WHAT??? he said, it's a word, like Cheque (check) -- so he's saying fack.... I said no, and whispered it said fa - que LOL. He says no, it's French. I thought oh, yeah, it's french all right. Then my kids start, "It's french....FA - QUE" my son is putting it in his best French accent, then says that's better than "on guard."
By this time I'm laughing my arse off. My A is still trying convince me it's a word and my son is pretend sword playing with my 10 yr old daughter hollering FA-QUE!
This was the highlight of my evening and I'm holding on to that, by the end of the evening I was very ready to tell my A -- FAQUE .....hehehe
How cute is that? You gotta love kids. They add such amazing laughter to our lives.
So here is one to make you laugh.....my 4 year old daughter is in to playing the rhyming game. She learned it at school. A lot of times she makes her words up to sound like the word she is trying to rhyme to. Well one day last week, it was my turn to give her the word and she had to say the rhyming word. We went through about 10 words...one syllables. When I said "Truck" (one had just driven by, we were in the car). Her lips formed the letter "F" and I am thinking "Oh please no." But sure enough, she said the word that rhymed w/truck and started w/F. I almost lost control of my car due to laughter. She had no clue what she said....she was winging it.....making up the word as she went along. I am just thankful it was w/me & not her Preschool teacher at the church. SHEWWEEE. Kids are too funny.
