so while i was off work i found out that our oldest daughter, Ashley is expecting again. She's about 8 wks along, not in a program of recovery, she has already lost custody of her other 2 children, 3 abortions, the father of the baby is abusive, not supporting his other children that he has with multiple women and at one time was selling illegal RX -don't know if he still is selling-probably is.
Sounds like a Lifetime Movie, but this is the life another one of my sweet grandchildren will be born into - another one who will suffer the affects of this disease - i know i will get to the joy of the occasion, but right now i feel the bitter sweet sadness for an innocent baby - poor sweet baby - God please help that baby.
Geez - i'm 42 yrs old & going to be a grandmother of 6!! - Wow - a sweet baby. Please pray for the health of the baby, i feel almost certain that she didn't stay sober during the last pregnancy, & we are blessed that Caroline appears to have no side effects from that. I pray God's grace for this one also.
peace my friends - still working on typing with one hand getting these emotions out so that i can see what my HP wants us to work on - like always no matter what me & my HP are going to be ok even better than OK. Rita

I will keep your daughter and her children in my thoughts and prayers. It is very sad when a child has to be affected by this disease. I will pray for that protection against the disease. Hang in there.
Peace, Twinmom~

As always you are in my prayers along with your family. For typing with one hand it looks great! I can barely type with two! jfdjvv'sv byre <---- see what I mean? Be healthy and happy. For a grandmother of 6 you look fabulous! WAY TO GO!
Love and blessings to you and your family.

It's your life. Take no prisoners. You will have it your way.
Wow having a grandmother in program!! Just the thing HP knows the child(ren) will need to have around them when it happens. The down side is easy to see and usual. The upside takes a bit more practice. Work the program and progress. You will be blatantly more positive to be around and a better role model.
That's how we do it here; give them the benefits of our recovery.
thanks for the love & support - as one of our members' always says "Stop going to the hardware store for a loaf of bread" - the rest of that saying was told to me last week -"but you still need the loaf of bread, where are you going to get it ?"
MIP feeds me the food of recovery i need - thanks again family, you're the best, Rita - or ReeRee as my grandchildren so affectionately call me. They love their ReeRee & ReeRee loves them.
