I am back on here after a long time! I am so grateful these days! So much has happened since the last time I was on here. I just went over 1 1/2 years since my AH passed away. I am grieving a lot less & am finally on the other side I think. I believe that the reason why I am doing so well besides the fact that I just am, I am in a new relationship. Actually, I have been in it for almost a year. I met a wonderful man last July. It has been almost a year already. I wasn't so sure if I wanted to mention him on here yet. I am now sure that he is the true love of my life. I feel so much more emotional intimacy with him than my late husband. I am convinced that after 23 years of marriage & one & a half years later after his death, I can truly say that our love was real, but not like this. I am more connected now than ever before. I met him just in time. Just when I felt I was ready for true love again. Really I think that he was just waiting for me as I was for him. We met here in my home town at a place I frequent. It was the 4th of July. I felt connected right away spiritually. I prayed for this. I really did. I believe HP sent him to me. This may sound a bit much for some people. I guess you just know when you know.
So, now I am living my dream my prayer. God is so good. I hope the Program works in our relationship. I have to sometimes turn things over, but all relationships have glitches. I just try to remember that if we go through stuff, I can start my day over or do whatever I can to make it work. I hope I am doing this in a healthy way. I feel like he is right for me. He feels the same way. I hope this doesn't sound like another 12 step program. I still am an al anon member. I just am so happy & content that I wanted to share it with you all.

Kathleen, it is so nice to see you back on the board. So many members have disappeared. And, you have such wonderful news--I feel your joy and hope. Of course no relationship is perfect, but if you two can communicate in a real way, you can weather the storms. Welcome back!
