The focus of todays reading is how we are able to gain wisdom using the tools of al-anon. The writer describes a time when he/she felt taking action and rushing into decisions was the only way to go, that waiting was a waste of time. Over time and with program work, the writer learned that wisdom means knowing when to stop and listen to ourselves and our HP. There are so many great quotations from this reading that I will list some here:
- Now I know God speaks to me while Im waiting.
- Maybe we are all doing the best we can with what we know right now.
- Wisdom means knowing I cant live life in isolation.
- Wisdom means learning to mine the diamonds hidden in my problems.
I have to work at making decisions. Unlike the writer, I never have felt like I rushed into decisions or action, but I have felt like Ive fallen into decisions at times, not consciously making them. In this way, learning the wisdom of waiting on action is definitely something I need to work on. Practicing patience, learning to listen, not allowing decisions to be made for me are all ways I can work at this.
I hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday:)

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday as well Mary, thank you for your service and ESH.
Al-anon has taught me to not rush my decisions/actions/reactions in many ways.
All have helped cultivate that wisdom needed to make decisons.

Thank you Mary for your service/ESH. Your share along with Debbie 's list provide excellent guidance. There is a lot I don't know and a lot I think I know. Today I feel it would be wise to just listen and learn. Grateful for your presence. ((HUGS))
