In today's reading, the author reflects on their will vs. their Higher Power's will. When the author focuses on their own will, they find that they are never satisfied. Even when they reach a goal, they are unhappy, set a new goal, and push even harder. The times the author found lasting satisfaction, they let go of their own self-will and focused instead on seeking the will of their HP. The author closes by sharing that sometimes their hopes and desires are forms of guidance, and prayer and meditation helps us to seek our HP's will.
Today's Reminder: The path to my true heart's desire is to surrender to the will of my Higher Power.
Today's Quote: "We know that God can and will do anything that is for our ultimate good, if we are ready to receive His help." The Twelve Steps and Traditions
--------------------
Today's reading reminds me of something I have often reflected on - when I set a goal for myself and push toward it, things tend to not work out very well for me. However, when I look at what opportunities lie in front of me and grab one, things tend to work out better than I could have imagined. This is one way I see my HP at work in my life. Things might not turn out the way I want, but they turn out better than I had hoped.

Good morning
I used to ask my HP for a list of things, what I wanted for other people, how I wanted things to turn out, what I would like for myself, etc. I no longer do that and haven't for awhile. Instead I simply ask for guidance for myself and all my loved ones and the hope of receiving that guidance.
"Thy will be done" .That's what I ask for now because I sure the heck don't know what's best for anyone else or myself for that matter. And then I "try" to just sit back and go with the flow because that's pretty much all I can do.
Have a good day

Thank you Skorpi from me as well for your service, reading and ESH.
Thank you SunnyFrog and Tiredtonite for both your shares they made me smile!
I echo all the ESH today because I used to, in the past, pray for event outcomes and things everyday
and have learned to stop doing that and rely on my HP's guidance and will as well. I find that having
faith in my HP's guidance and best judgement is much more comforting. {{HUGSS}} to everyone!

Good Morning Everyone. Thank you Skorpi for your service/ESH. Love the "my life is the ultimate field trip with a loving higher power as my guide." I took the day off work and decided devote it to prayer and self care. A sense of ease came over me and a realization that I spend way too much time trying to achieve goals that don't serve me well. When I'm forcing my will, no one (including myself) is happy. In this moment, I have the willingness and needed power to go with the flow. Grateful for this board . Have a pleasant day.
