The author of today's reading in the C2C talks about how they had a hard time believing that there was a caring entity in this world
and their difficulty believing in a Higher Power was very doubtful. But then they felt that the fact that they were lead to Al-Anon
spoke volumes to them about the program, literature and especially the people in the program and the messages that were given
and received.
Todays reminder: "When I feel far away from a Higher Power, I have to listen very carefully." "I listen at meetings, I listen to music,
I listen to the wisdom that comes through our literature, and I try to be open to what I hear." "I never know from where a message will
come."
Todays Quote: "Every now and again take a good look at something not made with hands -- a mountain, a star, the turn of a stream."
"There will come to you wisdom and patience and solace and, above all, the assurance that you are not alone in the world." ~ Sidney Lovett
I find it so amazing, the creation of this universe and all living creatures in it.How our lives intertwine in such balance with each other and
the messages given and received when we are receptive. How when we take care of each other how it benefits so much of life down the line
and when we dont that balance is visibly upset. To me that is an awesome indicator of a power greater than ourselves, but I have always
believed in my God of choice and respect that others have other beliefs. I am truly moved about what the Al-Anon program, literature and
people have done for me and my life and believe that it is from the grace and wisdom of my Higher Power that I was lead to this program
as well.
What are your thoughts about the wisdom we see and experience everyday and in Al-Anon?

Thank you Debbie for this wonderful reading and share. If I am open to listening, there is wisdom for me in every person's share, along with everything else this program offers. As I came to alanon with a God of my choice already in place, it is amazing to me that my program for coping with alcoholism enhances my relationship with HP. I saw a red-winged blackbird and a goldfinch yesterday--all parts of nature fill me with joy. I'm a grateful member.
