Today's C2C reading brings to light what we all go through in Al-Anon and as time goes on, our negative thinking does some-
times become a focal point in our day. It is called "Stinking Thinking" but when we have those moments, when we slide back
into negative thoughts and attitudes, we are encouraged to read or listen to some (CAL) Conference Approved Literature every-
day to help keep us on the right track!!
Todays reminder: "Today Im going to pay close attention to what I tell myself." "If necessary, Ill stop in mid-thought, start
over, and replace negative illusions with positive truths."
Todays Quote: "What we teach ourselves with our thoughts and attitudes is up to us." ~ In All Our Affairs
I have gotten into the habit of reading ODAT everyday, sometimes I just forge ahead and read two or three days at a time.I will
make a note in the front of the book, some of the readings that are very poignant for me so I can go back and re-read them again.
It gives me a feeling of belonging and understanding so that my "Stinking Thinking" does not seem so insurmountable. Of course
knowing I can come here and talk with you all is a comfort, and that HP has got my back as well.
Have you found daily reading of CAL literature a help or are you considering doing that based on todays reading?

Good morning
Coincidentally it's not even 6:30 AM and about an hour ago I started having negative thoughts pretty much as soon as I woke up. My first reaction was to come here and start reading. And it's helping already. It's my go-to anymore since I am not sure where my physical books are.
That 'stinking thinking' can sure ruin an entire day if I allow it to. Hopefully that won't be the case today!

Thank you Debbie for your service and all above ESH. I used to live in negative mode--it was my way of life and the only one I knew. Program has helped me learn to turn things around, especially what I focus on. (What you focus on the longest, becomes the strongest.) I catch myself returning to bad habits and most of the time by using my program tools, all that are available, I have better control over my emotions. Progress not perfection, ODAT.

Good Morning Everyone. Thank you Debbie for your service/ESH and all the shares. I definitely use CAL to get my mind right, especially when negative/nasty Nelly shows up. Reading/listening to members ' interpretations on program principles often shifts my stance on issues from negative to positive. I also appreciate the lessons and the humour. Yesterday I was overcome with love and laughter thanks to all the shares. Today I accept things will be tough but my (loving) HP will guide me through it. :) It's a great day to wash windows..let the sun shine in...Have a fabulous Friday.
