Todays reading is about, "Dont just do something, sit there." Made me stop and think for sure!!!
But what the author is trying to get across is that action is not always the best method to deal with
some issues.Always needing to take action is not always the best mindset; sometimes it is best to
"not act."
The reading goes on to say that "impatience' and the need to continual act can be tempered with
keeping in mind that waiting and "stillness have lessons to teach me."
Quote: "Besides the noble art of getting things done; there is the noble art of leaving things undone."
"The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials" ~ Lin Yutang
I have a terrible habit of working non-stop until I am exhausted.I tend to be the type of person who
is very busy and try to use all my time to catch up on everything I think needs to be done. This reading
is such a good lesson for me to practice!!! I do not have to be in perpetual motion all the time, ie:
trying to over prepare everything in advance. What happens is that I am too tired to enjoy myself!!
I am looking from the perspective of self care in this particular reading.
Do you feel the same, or does this reading resonant with you in a different way?

Thanks Debbie for your service and share. Yes I can relate to making myself do too much when it's overboard, but I have gotten better over time with program. The other part is that I have learned that I don't have to react/respond to and about others. Being still, pausing, waiting, whatever I want to call it, gives me an opportunity to think and make decisions that are right for me. Love this program!

Thank you Debbie for your service and all the shares. I was reminded of an old ad for Timex- "takes a licking and keeps on ticking". That is (was) me. After my recent bout with the flu, I reevaluated my priorities on self care and this daily/shares contribute to new awareness/changes needed to enhance my serenity. As for do nothing, it is a challenge for sure. I often employ a member's tool- zip it, sit on my hands- which results in outcomes far better than when I jump into action...Thanks for your help as always. I plan to SIT and watch baseball all day ! :)

Thanks DM for your service, and all for your ES&H...good stuff!
Great page, really solid point as I ponder Step 3 and the importance of not addressing everything. It certainly can be a case of 'less is more': more peace, demonstrable reliance on my higher power, and more peace for those around me as I allow them more room to find their way...

Needed that!
