I read today's reading from C2C this morning. I realized that earlier this year I wasn't taking very good care of myself. I am doing so much better & am trying to fill the voids w/ healthy things. I don't work right now but I read somewhere that Saturday's child works hard for a living. I take it that life is hard sometimes & in order to live it takes hard work to live. I am a Saturday's child.
I heard a somewhat of a joke the other day. It was said that I was looking for Mr. Right but I didn't know his first name was ALWAYS. Isn't that the truth sometimes. I can relate even in sobriety.
So, my Ah is having kidney surgery tomorrow(8/17). I have to remember that I have to be careful to not get to wound up. My phone is actually ringing right now. I just hope & pray that it goes well & that I have good news the next time I post, I have good news!
I have to stop now!

Self-care often is a topic at my meeting. Many adult children and those of us from dysfunctional families have learned to ignore ourselves. It's taken me many years to learn how to treat myself the way I treat others--with compassion and respect. :)
