In today's reading the author shares that their self-esteem grows when they love and accept themselves as they are.
When self-worth is based on accomplishments or the opinions of others, the author thinks they block their own well-being. It is impossible to make everyone happy, and it is impossible to make the world a perfect place.
Despite our imperfections, we are all worthy of love, respect, and joy.
Today's reminder: Today, when faced with choices, I will opt for the path that enhances my self-esteem.

Today's reading always makes me smile. In my spiritual practices, I've been taught that as humans, we are not allowed perfection. This manifests itself in interesting ways, including the practice of making an intentional mistake or error in art and craft projects to ensure that I don't forget that perfect is not for me. I've found so much freedom in this practice, because I don't try to be perfect, and I allow myself to make mistakes and learn and grow from them. My self-esteem is certainly better with this world view, and I've learned to be more gentle with myself when things don't quite work out the way I might define as "perfectly".

Thank you so much Skorpi for today's reading, your service and ESH.
Very appropriate reading for me today because my AH works with someone who I worked with a few years ago. I have since
retired from that job and she went on to work with the agency my husband does. He just came home for a break to say that
his coworkers are filing a complaint against her, mind you she was very difficult when I worked with her, and it was divulged that
she apparently talks very badly of me to AH's coworkers. Made me smile to think that I should be insulted by someone who
is causing issues on this job as well. I am handing it my HP. {{HUGS}}

Thanks Skorpi for your service and above ESH. This program has taught me to accept myself, assets and challenges. I am encouraged to review my self-inventory, and thus can choose to work on those elements that need improving. I ask HP to remove my character defects daily, but it seems to be a long process with no quick turn around. I also try to choose behaviors that bring me self-respect and self-esteem. :)
