I just need to vent a little. It's not easy living with an active alcoholic (my choice to stay). For every action I receive, thanks to alanon, I have an arsenal of reactions:
-reality changes, I have no expectations
-unstable moods, I detach
-unprovoked anger, bless them, change me
-broken promises (lying), QTIP
And so it goes....it isn't an easy path, but I guess what I come up with is gratitude for this program that allows me to have peace and quality to my life no matter what my A is doing. Thank you.

{{Lyne}} as well!!
I have been doing a daily inventory of myself for the same feeling you have expressed.
The hardest thing to do is to fully accept and place the whole of the situation into my HP's hands
and move on.

Hang in there Lyne! You are right - it's not easy. One other tool that popped into my head that I use often/always - have a Plan B. As I consider my day, I think of what else might I do if plans change. When we live with active disease, things change often. I just have a list of 'other' things to do - take a walk, go to the driving range, write a letter, call a friend, etc. Having a Plan B and sometimes a Plan C has helped me greatly!
