Today's page describes a place filled with discouragement, tormented and circular thoughts, apprehension and confusion. This is the place inside our head that some lived in before finding the miracle of AlAnon.
Reminder: Every meeting we attend, page we read, and fellow member we share with takes us farther away from that place inside our heads and closer to clarity, understanding, and serenity. Though we may return at times, the visits become shorter as we develop tools, experience and strength.
"Let me accept all the rich comfort available to me in this way of life, for I know it can help me in all life's trials." Anonymous ******************* I am filled with gratitude as I recall the level of desperation, confusion, and frustration I regularly carried with me while I struggled to face the challenges of the disease of alcoholism without AlAnon. Even though these feelings can still creep up at times, now I understand their source and what I can do to address them effectively.
The program and my higher power reminds me to let it begin with me, a much smaller target for my efforts than trying to change the people and things around me...what a relief for me, and for everyone I encounter in life. Grateful for the reminders

Thanks Paul for your service and share. I can relate to "tormented and circular thoughts.". I lived there for many years. Now I have the tools and faith in the help I receive from our program, that those moments are short-lived. I've learned that I can change my thinking (progress not perfection!), and then I feel more peaceful. Grateful member always.

Thank you Paul for your service, reading and to you and Lyne for both your shared ESH.
All I can say is that, I so agree with yours and Lyne's share. When I think about the
first time I learned that there was a way out of the horrible mental place I was in
several years ago, I cried. Thank you Al-Anon, MIP and HP for all the wonderful
help and guidance.

Thank you Paul for your service. As I read the daily and shares, my heart raced, stomach knotted, mouth got dry and got a bit dizzy remembering the sick state I was in for far too long. Then, I breathed a sigh of relief-grateful that I don't live that way anymore. The source of comfort, directions, tools and members ' shares have given me strength to embrace life and find joy daily.
